Meet Some of Our Adult Ed Instructors
Manufacturing Technologies: Robotics & Automation Instructor - Drew Fuller
Drew has been working in the field for over 20 years. He decided to begin teaching at WCSCC 5 years ago in our Manufacturing Technologies program. When he isn't teaching with us he continues to do consulting for local companies who need assistance. Drew says his favorite part about teaching Adult Ed is helping his students advance their careers and open new opportunities in a rapidly expanding field. He also enjoys doing carpentry work and finds any activity where he gets to build something with his own hands very rewarding.

Cosmetology - Amy Connor
Amy has been working in the Cosmetology industry for 26 years and she started teaching at WCSCC in 2018. Amy owns a one chair salon and on the days that she isn't teaching she is spending it there with her clients. Her favorite part about teaching Adult Ed is watching her students develop and gain confidence throughout the program. In her spare time she enjoys auctions, crafting and spending time with her family.

Manufacturing Technologies: Welding & Fast Track Welding Instructor - Mike Swansiger
Mike has been working in the welding industry for 18 years and has been at WCSCC since 2018. When he isn't teaching Mike designs and builds custom roll cages and testing equipment for the race car field through his own company. His favorite part about teaching is seeing a student progress from start to end and being able to watch them go from having no knowledge to a great job. He finds it very rewarding to witness his students make something of themselves in a career they enjoy.
Mike is a Certified Welding Inspector, has his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and plans to complete his Masters in Education this coming May. For more info about this program email us at aeinfo@wcscc.org |
Manufacturing Technologies: Industrial Maintenance Instructor - Dan Holderman
Dan has worked in the manufacturing industry for 43 years and recently retired from that. He began working at WCSCC in 2007 and has continued his work here into retirement. His favorite part about teaching Adult Ed is mentoring his students and getting to know each of them personally. He also enjoys passing along his knowledge to those students through the experiences he has had in the field.

Medical Assisting - Suzette Best
Suzy has worked in the medical field for 17 years and began teaching at WCSCC in 2019. Her favorite part about teaching is using real life scenarios to teach skills to her students. She loves when a student starts to understand and put their skills to use on a patient. Suzy also says that it is rewarding when a student realizes that what they learn in class is actually used every day at their new job.

Nurse Aide Training - Jody Widmer
Jody graduated from the WCSCC High School LPN program, she then went on to earn her Bachelor's in Nursing in 1996. She soon realized her passion for working with the elderly and spent most of her career caring for them. Jody became an instructor at WCSCC in 2011 and loves to teach students who love the trade as much as she does. Her goal is to teach students not only how to perform this trade but also how to provide this service with the respect and dignity that people deserve. Among teaching with us she is also a Nurse Aide State Exam Observer for the state of Ohio.

Manufacturing Technologies: Precision Machining Instructor - Dale Klinect
Dale started in this trade when he was in 6th grade working in his grandfather's machine shop. He began teaching at WCSCC in 2011 and also manages multiple machining and engineering operations at Johnsons Brothers Rubber. His favorite part about teaching Adult Ed is seeing his student's skill level grow from week to week.

Practical Nursing - Lorie Rodgers
Lorie has worked in healthcare for 11 years and as an RN for 9. She began teaching at WCSCC in 2019 and continues to work as a PRN travels nurse as well. Lorie loves getting to know her students as people and learning about their families and future career goals. Getting to help them achieve those goals is so rewarding to her. She also really enjoys getting to watch her students graduate and see all of their hard work paying off. Lorie has a 3 (almost 4) year old daughter, an awesome husband, 4 cats (not so awesome at times) and a loyal canine named Murphy.

Dental Assisting - Robin Blackie
Robin has been active in the trade since 1978 and began teaching in 2017. When she isn't teaching our adult students she is working at Leffler Family Dentistry. Robin loves seeing her students get excited when a certain subject clicks for them. She also loves to hear from past students who are working in the field and tell her about different aspects of their careers. Robin loves dentistry and getting to share her knowledge with her students.

Manufacturing Technologies: Robotics & Automation Instructor - Bill Ogden
Bill has been in the trade for 20 years and an instructor at WCSCC since 2017. He is also currently the production manager for Gojo Industries in Wooster. His favorite part about teaching is helping others learn the trade that he loves. He finds it very rewarding to see students learn skills and then be able to use them practically.
